Review / Info: The Sony DR-A70 is one of the most unique earphones ever produced by Sony. Unlike conventional earphones, each earpiece houses a built-in microphone, allowing for true stereo recording with a remarkably spacious, almost binaural soundstage. While most commonly bundled with the Sony WM-R15 stereo cassette recorder, the DR-A70 was also available as a standalone accessory. Its dual-purpose design let users both monitor recordings through the earphones and capture stereo audio recordings, making it an innovative solution for the mid-1980s.
